劳动力短缺引发危机:美国建筑业急需65万名工人

美国建筑业正在经历严重的劳动力短缺,缺口大约为65万名工人,使得包括住宅、基础设施和医院在内的各种建筑项目的完工速度减慢。这一状况部分归因于新冠疫情爆发之初,建筑行业在线求职申请数量下降了40%。

在这种情况下,建筑行业的工资已经高出非农业工作的平均工资80%,但劳动力老龄化和工作文化的转变依然阻碍了新的劳动力加入。而拜登最近的基础设施法案虽然分配资金用于更新美国的基础设施,但并没有对吸引或培训新的建筑行业工人进行投资,这可能会加剧劳动力短缺的问题。
